Salma El-Sharkawy |
An American editor of German origin. He was born in New York, United States, and graduated from Columbia University in New York. In the late 1960s, he began to develop his editing skills. Later, his brother Charles introduced him to Brian De Palma, a filmmaker who was not well-known at the time. Their collaboration produced eleven motion pictures. He is also famous for participating in the movie Star Wars, written and directed by George Lucas. Among his notable works are Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011). He won an Academy Award in 1978.
