An Egyptian journalist and writer, born in 1930 in Alexandria. He worked as a journalist at Dar Al-Hilal from 1972 until he retired. He wrote "The Legend" (a collection of stories), "The Penitent" (a novel), and "The Double" (a serial novel in Al Kawakeb magazine that was published in a book). He wrote a large number of short stories in various Egyptian newspapers. He published his first short story in Al Resala magazine in 1958. He edited a critical column in Al Kawakeb magazine under the title The Alarm Clock. He is known for the TV movie The Momentous Day.
