An Egyptian sociologist, writer, and academic who obtained a BA in Sociology and Philosophy from the Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University in 1970, an MA on the absence of working women and its impact on the productive efficiency of factories in 1983. She obtained a PhD on Egyptian women's participation in politics in 1986. She worked as a visiting professor in Saudi Arabia in 1989 and in Japan in 1995. She worked as a political correspondent for Akhbar el-Yom from Paris in 1979. She published story collections, some of which were adapted into works on radio and television. She wrote books on women, politics, environment, and youths. She produced many radio and TV programs in Arabic and French. She became a member of the Egyptian Writers Union. She is known for Runaway Life Moments.
