An Egyptian writer, born in 1906 in Farsis, Sharqia Governorate. He was a pioneer in Egyptian journalism and former editor-in-chief of Al Akhbar newspaper. He worked at publications like Al-Ahram and Akhbar el-Yom for over 50 years and published 32 books, the first of which was "Ordeal of the Constitution" in 1955. His works include the TV special Haj Ahmad Does Not Lie (1987). He died on 7 March 1982.
