American writer, born in California, USA. After graduating from high school, he worked as a writer and drummer before he succeeded in selling the script for the series Make Room for Daddy (1964).He collaborated with Garry Marshall in the series The Dick Van Dyke Show (1964-1966), in addition to a number of other works.
