An American TV writer and producer, born to a Jewish family in suburban Philadelphia. She attended Marple Newtown High School in the Marple Newtown School District near Philadelphia, where she was a stage performer and student director of the school play "Our City" in 1974. Marta earned a BA in theater in 1978 from Brandeis University. She is best known for Friends (1994-2004), Dream On (1990-1996), and Grace and Frankie (2015-2022). |
