Canadian comedian, writer, actor, television producer, and TV presenter, born on October 17, 1959 in Quebec, Canada. His older brother, Neil, worked as a journalist for CBC News. He attended Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, where he attended the radio and television program, but eventually dropped out to attend Dollard-des-Ormeaux School located in Courcelette, Québec. He began his career in stand-up comedy. He made his writing debut in The Dennis Miller Show (1992). He gained fame for being the Weekend Update anchor with his trademark line "Now the fake news." He starred in the movie Screwed (2000). He died on September 14, 2021 in Los Angeles, of cancer.
