An American actor, born in St. Louis, Missouri, to a family of German and Irish origins. His older brother is the musician and composer James Pankow, a founding member of a musical band. After attending Northeastern Illinois University and Maine South High School, he left the institution to enroll in a theatrical program. He is known for Mad About You (1993-2019) and To Live and Die in L.A. (1985).
