An Indian film director and producer, born in Mumbai, India. He started his career as an assistant director with Sudhir Mishra in the film Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin (1996) and also co-wrote the film. He directed his first film Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) in collaboration with the production company Dharma Productions. His works then followed between writing and directing, as he directed the films Unpaused (2020), Batla House (2019), and CC2C (2009), and wrote and directed the films Katti Batti (2015) and Patiala House (2011).
