An Indian actor, producer, director, and politician, born on October 6, 1946, in Peshawar, British India. He was the father of actors Rahul and Akshaye Khanna. He served as Minister of State for Culture & Tourism, as well as Minister of State for External Affairs. He appeared in more than 140 movies throughout his acting career. He is best known for Hum Tum Aur Woh (1971), Qurbani (1980), Dabangg (2010), and Dilwale (2015). He received two Filmfare Awards, one was a Lifetime Achievement Award, and the other was for Best Supporting Actor for Haath Ki Safai (1974). He passed away on April 27, 2017, at the age of 70.
