An Australian actor, born in New South Wales, Australia. While at school, he interned at Sydney radio station 2CH, and quickly became Australia's youngest radio broadcaster. He served with the British Royal Air Force during World War II. After returning to Australia he joined Doris Fitton's Independent Theatre group and appeared on stage from the mid-1940s in classics such as The Little Foxes and The Madwoman of Chaillot. Some of his credits include Salvation (2008), Three Blind Mice (2008) and Jindabyne (2006). He died on May 15, 2009 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
