An American TV personality, born on August 24, 1917, in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. James was of Italian descent and began his career on TV in 1938, working for the DuMont Television Network. He hosted game shows, such as Cash and Carry, which ran on the DuMont Television Network from 1946 to 1947. He also worked as a commentator for wrestling and boxing shows during the early days of TV. James died on June 3, 1997, in Palm Springs, California, USA, of lung cancer.
