An American artist of Turkish and Swedish origins, born in St. Paul, Minnesota. During World War 2, he served in the American Army. He attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago after a brief stint at the St. Paul School of Art. Following graduation, Neiman spent 10 years as an Art Institute faculty member. He then traveled the globe to see and sketch social gatherings and athletic events and competitions, including the Olympic Games and the Super Bowl. He is known for Rocky IV (1985), Rocky III (1982), and Rocky Balboa (2006).
