Iranian actor born in Iran in 1967. He studied cinema and photography at Harrow College in London. His second short film Salandar (1994) won the Special Jury Award from San Francisco, and his film Season Five (1997) represented Iran at the Venice Film Festival. His film Sanam (2000) won two awards for best film and best actor in Paris. He also directed the award-winning documentary movie, Apple Ferrera: Not Guilty (2003).
