Terry Kinney is a stage, television, and film actor. He met actor Jeff Perry while studying at Illinois State University, and they formed their own theater company with fellow actor Gary Sinise in Chicago in 1973, the Steppenwolf Theater Company. His first movie role was in the 1985 movie Seven Minutes in Heaven.
