An American actor, born in New York, United States. He began his artistic career in Jennifer on My Mind (1971) after participating in one episode of the television series The Doctors in 1963. He became famous for his role opposite John Travolta in the musical film Grease (1978).
After that, Jeff began his artistic career in a different direction, participating in the comedy television series Taxi, which ran for five full seasons and co-starred Danny DeVito and for which Jeff was nominated twice for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In addition to his work in acting, Jeff decided in 1992 to try his hand at directing and writing for cinema through the comedy film Bikini Summer II, but due to the film’s lack of success, he did not work in film directing again. Conaway married twice; the first time in 1980 to actress Rona Newton-John. They separated five years later. He then married Keri Young in 1990, and they separated in 2000. Both times, Conaway did not have children. He died in California, United States.
