A Turkish director, born in 1969 in Bursa, Turkey. He is best known for the duo he has formed with his brother, director Yağmur Taylan, and together, they are known as the Taylan Brothers. They studied industrial engineering and medicine respectively, then started working behind the camera in their first TV project Sir dosyasi. After they directed several other TV series, including Besik Kertmesi, they made their first film, Okul. They have worked on other TV projects, including the police drama Alacakaranlik and the comedy series Yabanci Damat, which was filmed in Greece and Turkey. In 2006, they released their second film Küçük Kiyamet (The Little Apocalypse), and then made the TV series Karayilan, a drama about the eastern front of the Turkish War of Independence. Later on, the brothers filmed The Magnificent Century, a historical Turkish series that aired on Turkey's Show TV network and was based on the life of Sultan Suleiman I (a.k.a. Suleiman the Magnificent).
