A British actress of Moroccan origins, born in London, England, to a Moroccan father and an Indian mother. She grew up in the Moroccan city of Tangier with her parents and six siblings. When she turned 19 years old, she moved to Paris, and then began studying economics, but her passion for art prompted her to return to her hometown of London in order to study acting and directing. Immediately upon her graduation, she joined the MTV music channel. She gained fame for her role in the series Footballers' Wives. Her other credits include The Four Feathers (2002) and Primeval (2009).
