A Polish cinematographer and filmmaker, born in Łódź, Poland. He trained at the Polish Film School, then immigrated to the United States in 1972, and soon after began working in commercials. He collaborated with director Sidney Lumet and served as director of photography on 11 of his films over the years, such as Guilty as Sin (1993), Prince of the City (1981), and Deathtrap (1982). He has directed several works, such as Exit Wounds (2001), Doom (2005), and Dead Reckoning (2020). |
