Egyptian actress and musician, born in 1932 in Cairo. She first learned to play music and sing opera, before obtaining a certificate from the Royal Academy of Music in London in harmonic composition and playing and opera singing. She became a professional musician in 1954 and became the first choir conductor of an Arab orchestra. She also held several positions, such as general manager of the musical theater, a member of the board of directors of the World Federation of International Music at the time, and a judge in international festivals. She participated in international peace festivals, composed and arranged a number of songs for a number of poets, such as Salah Gaheen. She is known for the song "Dawo Al Habayeb" in 1971.
