A Romanian actor, born in Valcea, Romania. He graduated from the I. L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in 1971, where he worked as a professor. He began his career in 1971 as an actor at the National Theatre and then moved to the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest. In 1969, he played his first role in the film Caldura, and then his works followed such as Single-handed (1974), Actorul si salbaticii (1975), Ahead of the Silence (1978), Napasta (1982), and Nelu (1988).
