Salma El-Sharkawy |
An American actress, born to Belizean immigrant parents and raised in Harlem, New York City. She briefly attended Gettysburg College and the City College of New York before studying at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where she graduated. Kara was the first black actress to be nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024), winning in 2024. She is known for her work in a number of productions, including Chemical Hearts (2020) and Master (2022).
