An American singer and actor, born on October 7, 1927, in Philadelphia, USA. In his youth, he worked in construction and was expected to continue the successful construction work of his family, but his strong singing voice helped him make his way in the world of music. In 1948, he participated in a musical talent show on television, and was able to draw attention to him after winning first place. His star shined in the sixties of the last century with successful songs, including “Spanish Eyes” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. In addition to his music career, Martino co-starred with Marlon Brando in The Godfather (1972), in which he played a mafia-linked singer. He died on October 13, 2009 at the age of 82 at his home in Philadelphia, USA.
