An American novelist, born in New Hampshire, USA. She had vocal training. She spent several years as a student at the New England Conservatory. She married businessman John Lyman Porter in 1892, and the two of them relocated to Massachusetts. She then started writing novels and short stories and getting them published. She passed away in Massachusetts, USA.
