A Gambian actor, born in Gambia. He then moved to England to train as a doctor, however, he abandoned medicine and joined acting school in the 1970s as a member of the Afro-Asian Solidatry Committee. He began his career in 1962 and is one of the first black actors to appear regularly on British television, with his most notable works including White Mischief (1987) and Captain Phillips (2013), and the TV series Counterpart (2017), Runaway Bay (1992) and The Bill (1984). |
