He graduated from the University of New Mexico in the United States with a bachelor's degree in American literature and motion picture production. After that, he graduated from the University of California with a master's degree in motion picture production. In addition, he directed and wrote a few productions, such as South Central (1992) and Masters of the Universe (1987).
