A French actor, born in Monaco to an orchestra conductor who worked in Monte Carlo. After completing his studies at the Conservatoire in 1961, he was hired right away for a two years at the Comédie-Française. Later, he joined Georges Pitoëff's company. He began his career in theater, then appeared in several works such as The War Is Over (1966), Indochine (1992), Partir (2009), and Il buon soldato (1982). He died on March 13, 2014 in Paris, France.
