An American writer. He is the fourth son of a businessman father. He wrote his first story, A Princess of Mars, in 1912, under a pseudonym for fear of his status, while his novel Tarzan, which was published in 1912, achieved great success. He wrote more than eighty novels. He married Emma Hulbert, and he had two children with her. He later separated from her and married the actress Florence Gilbert. |
