Joshua Oppenheimer is an American film director, based in Denmark. He specialized in documentary film making after his graduation from Harvard. He was first known with “The Entire History of the Louisiana Purchase”, after which he moved to Indonesia to make several documentaries. His breakthrough came in 2012 with his epic documentary “The Act of Killing”, which was highly regarded as one of the year's best films, included in many top-ten lists and winning numerous prizes. |
