Indian actor, born on July 9, 1937 in Gujarat to a Gujarati family. His first home was in Mumbai. He had two younger brothers and a sister. His story began in Bollywood when he ran into a film school and from there he entered Bollywood, where he eventually became a movie star. Among his most famous works are The Flame (1975), Trident (1978), and Seeta aur geeta (1972).
