He attended Little Rock Central High School, where he received his first training in theater, then enrolled at Arkansas State University, majoring in radio-TV. He worked at the campus radio station and also worked as an announcer, cameraman, and audio technician on the KAIT television station. He's famous for providing the voice of the character Squidward Tentacles in the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.
