A Canadian actor, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to parents of Russian Jewish origin. He developed an interest in acting while a student at Northview Heights Secondary School, first working at his father's construction company, then becoming a real estate agent, and eventually moving on to acting in commercials. He began his career in 1971, and some of his credits include Power Play (1978), Meatballs (1979) and Separate Vacations (1986). He died on July 17, 2017 in Toronto after a battle with cancer.
