An American actor and singer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the parents of Italian immigrants. He began acting and singing in his teenage years. During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the Philippines. He began his professional artistic career in acting by working in a New York City theater, then headed to the small screen, participating in hundreds of series and more than twenty films, in addition to many plays.
