Shaimaa Saied |
A Canadian screenwriter and actor, born in Calgary, and raised in Ohio. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he majored in drama and then trained at Actors Theatre of Louisville after college, then performed with other regional theaters. He moved to Chicago and joined the Second City comedy troupe, where he wrote and starred in several consecutive plays. He taught at high schools and colleges, including Columbia College Chicago and the Goodman Theatre. He was nominated for two Joseph Jefferson Awards. His works include Spare Room (2018), Class (1983) and Doctor Detroit (1983).
