An American director and actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He learned to play the trombone in high school, but he replaced his musical passion with theater, as he began taking acting lessons. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in drama from Rutgers University in New Jersey, then obtained a master’s degree from Indiana University. He began teaching at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, and joined the Public Theater for three years. Some of his credits include Kiss of the Dragon (2001) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003).
