An American comedian and musician, born in 1949 in Chicago, Illinois. John attended Wheaton Central High School. He began his career as a writer and actor in National Lampoon Television Show: Lemmings Dead in Concert (1973), while his widespread fame began when he starred in the movie National Lampoon's Animal House (1978). In addition to movies, John joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1975. He died in 1982 in a hotel room as a result of taking a dose of cocaine and heroin that killed him instantly at the age of 33. |
