Chinese writer, director, and producer, born on November 30, 1969. After graduating from the Central Academy of Drama in 1992, he was a screenwriter in the movie Spicy Love Soup (1997) and Shower (1999). He won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the Berlin International Film Festival for Black Coal, Thin Ice (2014). His film, Uniform, premiered at the 2003 Vancouver International Film Festival where it won the Dragons and Tigers award. |
