An Indian actor, born on August 31, 1984 in Gurgaon, India. He acquired his acting skills through theatre when he was in his tenth class. He completed his schooling in Gurgaon and graduated from the University of Delhi. He was simultaneously doing theatre with the Kshitij troupe and the Shriram Centre in Delhi. In 2008, Rajkummar graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, and then moved to Mumbai. His real breakthrough was in the film Kai Po Che (2013) directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The film received good reviews from critics and was a commercial success at the box office. In the same year, Rao played the lead role in the biographical film Shahid, which was based on the life of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi. The film was highly acclaimed by critics, who praised Rajkummar's wonderful performance, which led to him winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Rajkummar's next works were Queen (2013), CityLights (2014), and Aligarh (2015).
