A Japanese-Canadian actress, who has taught dramatic arts at the University of Southern California in the United States. She was trained by vocal performance teacher Kristin Linklater. She has also taught at institutions across North America, such as Columbia University and the Sundance Institute in Utah, USA. She was Director of the Training Department at the National Arts Centre in Canada. She is known for Speed (1994) and Flatliners (1990).
