An Egyptian writer, born on December 3, 1939, in Cairo. He held the position of Director General of the National Film Archives, the Cinema Center, Ministry of Culture. His plays include The Willow Trees, Aziza, and The Drowned. His work on theatrical criticism includes "Al Adaa Al Seyasy Fi Masrah Al Settinat" (Political Performance in the Sixties' Theater), while his work on film criticism includes "Men Agendat Al Cinema Al Masreya"(From the Agenda of Egyptian Cinema). He also translated several works, such as "Malek Al Ghorfa Al Mozlema" (King of the Dark Room).
