A creative American writer, one of the most famous writers of the twentieth century. He was best known for his stories about World War II. He was born in Salinas, California in 1902. Some of the best scenes from his stories are located in that region. He studied at Stanford University in San Francisco (California) and then switched from one profession to another. Among his most prominent works are East of Eden (1955), and In Dubious Battle (2016). He died in New York in 1968. |
