An Indian actor, who was a popular actor in India between 1977 and 1989, but his film career declined in the following years. Sheikh transitioned to the small screen as a TV presenter, achieving great success and fame in this field. He is also a well-known philanthropist. Sheikh has worked in a variety of films, ranging from comedy to tragedy, and his most notable works include Mera Damad (1995), Lahore (2010), Shanghai (2012), and Children of War (2014). Farooq suffered a massive heart attack on the morning of December 28, 2013, and passed away at the age of 65, while on holiday with his family in Dubai.
