A Romanian film director and actress, she was raised in Romania. She graduated from the Department of Film and Television Directing, University of Theater and Film, Bucharest in 1999, and from the Film and Television Production Department of the College of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California in 2007. She is a multi-award winning scriptwriter and editor, whose goal is to become a university professor and to continue making films without compromise. At the United Somali Congress in 2007, she won a production grant for the movie The Witness. Before directing films, she worked as a moderator and assistant director, and received many awards and study fellowships in film production and critical studies. Her most recent feature films and her most recent short films include: Malpensa (2009), The Witness (2009), and Tales from the Golden Age (2009).
