She worked as a shoemaker to help her mother, while her brother was a resistance fighter fighting against the Nazis, and her father was deported to a concentration camp for being a Communist. In 1941, she enrolled in Cours Simon to continue her education, after which her career started. She is known for La crise (1992) and Le bel été 1914 (1996). |
