An American director, producer, and writer, born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1983. He went to the University of Kansas and earned a bachelor’s degree in film production from the University of Southern California. He is known for The West Wing (1999), Game of Thrones (2011) and The Crude Oasis (1993). He received a Humanitas Prize for his work on the episode NSF Thurmont. He received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for two episodes he directed, 2162 Votes and Posse Comitatus.
