Egyptian screenwriter and actor who studied screenwriting at the High Cinema Institute and graduated in 1993. He worked in the Specialized channels sector at the Egyptian Television right after graduation. He wrote and directed many works for film, stage, and TV. He was also head of the screenwriting department in the Cinema Syndicate. He co-founded the Independent Theater Movement in 1989 and the Independent Culture Alliance in 2011. He is founder and president of Luxor African Film Festival. His works as an actor include Al-Mahrousa Alley (1996) and The Past Returns Now (1997).
