Dalia Saad |
A Lebanese poet, writer, and painter, who was one of the writers and poets of the Mahjar (the Arab diaspora) movement. He was born in the town of Bsharri, Northern Lebanon. He immigrated as a boy with his family to the United States of America and obtained its citizenship. He died in New York of tuberculosis. He became famous in the West for his book "The Prophet," which was published in 1923. His credits include The Broken Wings (1964) and The Prophet (2011). |
