Dalia Saad |
An American actor, born on December 18, 1917, in Georgia, USA. He and his wife Ruby Dee were inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame in 1989 and were honored with the US National Medal of Arts in 1995. They also were involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Davis was nominated twice for a Tony Award; the first was in 1958 for Best Featured Actor In A Musical for the play Jamaica, and the second was in 1970 for Best Musical for the play Purlie, based on his book. His notable movies include Dr. Dolittle (1998). He died on February 4, 2005. |
