He was a journalist who was born in 1934 in a poor neighborhood of Mallawi district, Minya. He joined the Faculty of Arts, Department of Sociology, Cairo University, and from here he worked on the Egyptian radio and media. He spent more than 60 years behind the microphone. He presented many programs, including " Very Frank". He had his own music studio where he recorded songs for stars such as Umm Kulthum, and Abdel Halim Hafez. He was also famous for his accuracy in organizing concerts, such as Eastern Nights, Muhammadiyah Nights, and City Lights. He was a technical advisor in the series My Heart Is My Guide (2009).
