Indian model, actress and producer, born on December 9, 1981. Her parents got divorced when she was four, and her father died when she was nine, so her mother got married to Ahmad Mirza, who died in 2003. She believes in the Aryasamai, a Hindu reform movement. When she was still at school she worked as an executive director of the marketing department in a media company. Her acting career started with the movie Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, which did not achieve the desired success. Among her most notable works are Power (2003), and Insanity (2001). She has won many awards for her humanitarian work. In 2012, she was awarded the IIFA Green Award, for her contribution to the cause of green conservation. She also conducted many awareness campaigns about abortion prevention and HIV (AIDS) and joined a foundation for cancer patients. She advocated banning animal testing and raising awareness of the need to recycle natural products. She is also an ambassador for the Panasonic Foundation. She got married to Sahil Sangha on October 18, 2014 in Delhi.
